Weekly Review: Oct 27 - Nov 2, 2014

Weekly Recap
Monday (Oct 27)
Notes: It was not my intent to have a rest day, but I had to go out to dinner with some folks from work so I just ran out of time.

Tuesday (Oct 28)
PM Workout:  Treadmill run/walk 2.59mi @ 15:26 per mi, 40 mins, 5 min walk/1 min run
Notes:  The time went faster than I expected, but I was certainly tired at the end of this.  Still not sure what's going on there.  Of course I'm still dealing with Belle having seizures as she had another one this morning.

Wednesday (Oct 29)
PM Workout:  Treadmill walk 1.79mi @ 17:08 per mi, 30 mins
Notes:  Just an easy walk today.  The knees and heel have been sore all day, but felt fine on the walk.  It's just confidence and I know I need time on my feet..

Thursday (Oct 30)
PM Workout:  Treadmill run/walk - 2.75mi @ 16:21 per mi, 45 mins, 5min walk/1 min run
Notes:  So strange because I was really in a lot of pain all day on both sides, but I felt perfectly fine during my run/walk.  I did keep it slower, but it still seemed to have drained me.  I am just struggling right now.

Friday (Oct 31)
PM Workout:  Bike - 11.5 mi, 15.4 mph avg, 45 mins, resistance level 3
Notes:  Legs felt okay through the full ride and it was just a good ride.

Saturday (Nov 1)
Notes: Got a late start to the day so I just didn't do anything.

Sunday (Nov 2)
Notes:  I think the weather was perfect for a run today, but I wouldn't really know because I  have not felt good all day.  I know what I think it wrong and I really don't need this right now, but that's the way it goes.

Training Notes
I have no confidence.  I feel like I will fail all the time.  The fear of failure makes me not even want to try.  It's very unlike me to feel like this, but it's been coming on more and more this year and I'm not sure how to pull out of this.  Still I do feel good about the miles I did get in this week as they felt like quality miles.

Health Watch
Still going strong with my second Whole 30.  I still haven't cheated once.  I still feel pretty good overall.  I have noticed that I get extremely tired when I exercise and some days I just want to eat constantly.  A couple of times I ended up getting a bit dizzy after a workout, but grabbing a little bite to eat solved the issue quickly. 

I faced eating out for the first time this week.  I had to go to dinner with some folks from work.  I am very proud of myself because I ordered grilled salmon with no sauce and steamed veggies.  I didn't feel deprived or want something else and I couldn't actually eat it all because the portion was much larger than I've grown accustomed to.  I guess that's a good thing!

This week will be interesting as it is another race weekend and this time I intend to use Lifesavers for fuel and it will be the first time I will be consuming sugar since I started this crazy ride.  We shall see what happens!
