October 2013 Wrap Up

Weight Watch: -1.8 pounds
Well, I did try to do better this month.  I didn't do as good as I wanted, but it is a start.  A small start.  

Mileage Watch:
Run/Walk: 93.69 miles
Bike: 53.50 miles
Elliptical: 4.59 miles
Total Miles: 151.78 miles

Goal Review
So, I set a goal for October - continue miles every day.  Didn't matter how many miles as long as I got up and moved.

I am happy to say that I met this goal once again. It's amazing how many more miles you do in a month when you throw in a 20 miler.  Yes, the increase in miles is in direct correlation to Dopey Training.

While I wish I could say that I hit all my long runs and improved my speed, I didn't.  I've been giving it my best and that's all I can hope to do.  

November 2013
I intend to continue the miles every day goal in November. In addition to getting miles every day, I need to keep working on increasing the length of time for my workouts when appropriate. I need to continue building endurance and strength.

I will continue to use the Galloway Dopey Training plan.  While I have to modify the plan for races, I will work on the weekly workouts and work on focusing on the long runs.  I don't feel like I'm quite as fast as I should be.

I think I broke through some of my mental weakness when I completed the 20 miler.  That being said, I am still fearful that I don't have what it takes to do the Dopey, but I also know that I'll give it my all.
