Countdown to 2012 WDW Marathon Weekend #51

#51 - Epcot's American Adventure

From the Walt Disney World website:
The American Adventure is located in the World Showcase at Epcot theme park. This awe-inspiring 30-minute theatrical show uses 35 lifelike Audio-Animatronic figures and filmed sequences in dramatic recreations of extraordinary people and events in American history.

Hosts Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain will take you through a stirring exploration of America's past. On the way, you'll meet visionaries such as:
•Thomas Jefferson
•Frederick Douglass
•Susan B. Anthony
•Alexander Graham Bell
•Teddy Roosevelt
•John F. Kennedy
•Martin Luther King Jr.

Witness some of America's most important stories, from the Boston Tea Party to World War II, the writing of the Declaration of Independence to the civil rights movement. The extraordinary effects and period music will make you feel like you are there, celebrating the spirit of the American people.

Why am I looking forward to The American Adventure?
This attraction is one that I really don't like to miss.  It's a great stirring story and has some amazing audio animatronics and effects.  The stages are quite amazing and they move soundlessly and with no vibration...Next time you're there, place your feet flat on the floor and as the stage changes see if you feel anything under your feet.  It's truly amazing.

The story is about America's history and the amazing people and events that have shaped the country.

A bonus, if you can time your visit right you may get to catch the Voices of Liberty.  Don't miss it if you can help it - this is an a capella group that will blow you away.  Their voices are truly the best and their performances are always emotional and stirring!

I've seriously considered seeing if we can get the Voices of Liberty to sing at the brunch wedding reception next year. I have NO IDEA what it would cost, but it would be amazing to hear them at Shades of Green!
