Weekly Review: Apr 4 - 10

Goals for workouts this year:
1. 80-100 miles run/walk per month
2. One day of Pilates per week
3. One day of Strength Training per week
4. One day of Bike or Elliptical per week
5. One Incline Workout on the Treadmill per week

Here's this week's recap
Monday
PM Workout: Treadmill walk 3.58mi @ 15:47 per mi
Notes: Still pretty sick today, but walking didn't make it worse so at least I got some miles in. 

Tuesday
PM Workout:  Treadmill walk 4.23mi @ 15:00 per mi 
Notes: Still not feeling great, but I was still okay to get a walk in.  Still coughing, sore throat, itching ears and eyes - blech. 

Wednesday
REST 
Notes: I had to work very late today so no workout was in the cards.  I'm starting to feeling better with just some occasional coughing left. 

Thursday
PM Workout: Treadmill run/walk - 4.74mi, .30mi warm up walk, 4mi @ 13:19 per mi, .44mi cool down walk
Bike - 12mi, 50mins, 14.3mph avg, resistance level 2
Notes: Got in an okay run/walk and then a nice easy pedal.  Still not feeling 100% but most of the coughing is gone - think I'm just down to allergies and a little coughing. 

Friday
PM Workout:  Treadmill incline workout #11 - 1.85mi, 30mins, up to 10% incline 
Notes: Another really long day at work, but at least I managed to get my incline workout in.

Saturday
PM Workout: Treadmill walk 5.58mi @ 15:00 per mi 
Notes: Didn't get much done today, but at least I managed to get a nice walk in tonight. 

Sunday
AM Workout: Treadmill run/walk - 11.66mi, .31mi warm up walk, 9.08mi @ 12:47 per mi, 2.27mi cool down walk
Notes: Got a good run/walk in - 2min run/1min walk intervals...Wanted to go further today but I still have a lingering cough and didn't want to over do it.  Still felt good to get some good miles in.

Another bronze medal this week.  It should have been a gold, but being sick caused me to cut some miles from my schedule.  Overall I'm still very happy with the number of miles I managed this week even while sick.

That is an awesome week for someone who is sick. You are so on target for your race goals.

Pei pa koa is pretty decent cough medicine (from herbal as I remembered), great non alcoholic medicine, some western cough medicine are more effective, but this is non drowsy.
